What is Pili Pili?
Also known as Piri Piri or Peri Peri Pili Pili is a hot pepper sauce that’s extremely versatile.
Not too hot to handle, we’ve taken this delicious pepper and combined it with chilli peppers, olive oil and our own blend of spices to create our Pili Pili Sauce; an flavourful spicy kick for any dish.
5 Ways to Use KULA’s Pili Pili Sauce
Inspired by Ready Set Eat, we can’t get enough of Pili Pili-perfected Fried Plantains! Grab a skillet, medium-heat some oil and fry some plantain slices - 2-3 mins per side or until golden brown. Remove, paper-towel dry, allow to briefly cool then snack away with our Pili Pili Sauce as dip!
This dish also makes a perfect party offering.
1 head cauliflower - chopped into florets
½ cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon EVOO
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¾ cup oat milk
Buffalo Sauce Ingredients
3 tablespoons vegan butter
2 tablespoons of EVOO
KULA Cauliflower Wings Instructions
Toss all of the cauliflower ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Then, oven-bake the florets at 425* for 25 minutes. While they’re in the oven, prepare the Pili Pili buffalo sauce.
Once the florets are out of the oven, marinate them with your buffalo sauce.
Bam! You’ve got hot, flavourful vegan wings!
Want a dipping sauce? Simply mix our Pili Pili Sauce with 3 tablespoons of your preferred mayo product and some lemon juice.
Order from takeout, or prep, your favourite vegan oysters and oyster mushrooms and top them with a drip each of Pili Pili Sauce.
You’ll never want to eat them differently ever again, we swear.
- ⅓ cup of sauteed greens of your choice
- ⅓ cup of potato salad
- 1-2 servings of your favourite KULA meats
Bowl Sauce Topping Ingredients
- Lemon juice
- KULA Pili Pili Sauce
Pan-sautee your greens with olive oil or prepare them in an air fryer.
Then, kick-off your bowl with 2-3 cups of your favourite base (we love using homemade vegan macaroni and cheese).
Other options can include rice, sweet potatoes, quinoa or spinach salad.
Add the bowl ingredients, toss on your pre-made sauce topping and enjoy!
Melt your preferred butter product in the microwave. Then, before adding it to the popcorn, mix a small amount of Pili Pili Sauce for a movie night kick. You only need a little!
