KULA's Sweet & Smoky Grilled BBQ Corn Ribs (No Added Sugar!)

Ingredients

  • 4 ears fresh corn on the cob

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/4 tsp onion powder

  • 1/4 tsp chili powder (optional, for a kick)

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

  • 1/2 cup KULA Red Pepper BBQ Sauce (divided)

Directions

    1. For this step, you'll need a sharp knife to ensure clean cuts.

    2. Husk the corn and remove the silks with a stiff brush.

    3. Cut the base and end off the corn cobs to create a flat surface. This will make them easier to slice through.

    blank

    1. Stand the corn upright on a cutting board.

    2. Using your sharp knife, carefully cut the corn in half lengthwise. Then, cut each half in half again lengthwise, resulting in 4 quarters per cob. Don't worry about perfection! You may end up with some crooked and broken pieces, but they'll still be delicious.

    3. Tip: Shorter cobs are easier to manage. If your corn is large, consider cutting each cob in half before standing it upright and cutting into quarters.

    1. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder (if using). Season generously with salt and pepper.

    1. Toss the corn ribs in the prepared seasoning mixture, making sure they're evenly coated. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes, or up to 30 minutes for an even deeper flavour infusion.

    1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. To prevent sticking, lightly oil the grates using a brush or paper towel dipped in oil.

    2. Arrange the corn ribs in a single layer on the preheated grill. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, turning occasionally, until the corn is slightly charred and tender-crisp.

    3. During the last minute of cooking, generously brush both sides of the corn ribs with KULA Red Pepper BBQ Sauce. Let the sauce caramelize slightly for an extra burst of flavour.

    1. Serve your KULA Grilled BBQ Corn Ribs immediately with the remaining KULA Red Pepper BBQ Sauce for dipping.

    1. Arrange the grilled corn ribs on a platter for a fun and impressive presentation, resembling a rack of ribs!

    2. For a touch of creamy goodness, drizzle your corn ribs with some Greek yogurt or sour cream before serving.
